Claude Folta (Georgetown, TX) Life has been good to Claude. He has been lucky in a lot of ways. He met the girl of his dreams, Joanne, in the third grade and they have been married for forty three years. His three daughters turned out well and he is very proud of them. They graduated from college and have good jobs. All are married and have given him five wonderful grandchildren. Claude is fortunate they are all in Texas so they get together with them quite often. They all have RV’s and he met them for weekend camping trips. For the past two years they have taken their family vacations down at the coast. Great fun and good food. They take after their mother in the cooking department.

Old cars are still a big part of Claude’s life. He never gets tired of them. Joanne and Claude are active in the local and national Model A Ford Club. They go on tours all over Texas and sometimes out of state. It’s great fun and they meet a lot of nice people. One year they went to Kansas City for a national event and Mike McAllister came over with his two sons. Both Mike and Dan Ziegler are still old car guys after all these years. They still get together when Claude has a chance to get up to Ohio.

He is still working even though he thought he would be retired in 1999. His middle daughter is a civil engineer and has her own company. Both Joanne and Claude work for her. He works four days a week and Joanne works one. He can have off as much time as he need so they can still do some traveling. It’s nice to get back some of that money they spent on her education. His other two daughters are in long term health care administration so he’s covered there as well.

Claude is looking forward to the 50th reunion and God willing he will be there.
