Geraldine (Grzincic) and Richard Kriska (Port Charlotte, FL) Like everyone else they are shocked at how quickly 50 years has flown by. If memory serves them correctly, Rich and Geri were one of 6 couples that married within the class of 1960. They married in 1963 and bought a house in Strongsville, OH and they still live there in the summer months. In 2003 while vacationing in Florida they decided to buy a house there and spend their winters in sunshine instead of snow. The year after they bought, Hurricane Charley roared through Punta Gorda which is the community 12 miles to their south. Do you think they questioned their sanity at that point? Obviously not, because they became Florida residents the following year and live in Port Charlotte from November through June.  While there they enjoy walking, biking, hiking, bird watching and golfing. Most recently Geri has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and joined a woman's organization, PEO.

They have a daughter and son. Daughter, Jennifer, is married and lives in Concord, VA.  They have two children; Seth, 17 and Sage, 10. Her husband works for Mead-Westvaco - the paper people. Jennifer is a stay at home mom who is very artistic. She makes pottery and stained glass which she sells at craft fairs and online at etsy.com. She also does freelance paintings of the customers choice on walls and has painted a street scene on the walls of a restaurant. Also, she is a professional photographer. Their son, David, is married and lives in Bay Village, OH. They have two children; Maya, 6 and Sadie, 3.His wife works for the National Audubon Society as a grass-roots organizer. David works for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History as a Biodiversity Coordinator. They are both involved with environmental issues.

Rich and Geri retired at the end of 2002.Rich started work as a mechanical engineer in 1962 and worked his way into the hydraulic field and became a hydraulic engineer. After 5 employers he retired from Kraft Fluid Systems in Strongsville. He enjoys working around the house and in the yard.  In their neighborhood in Florida he has become the local handyman. Geri’s working years were spent working in office jobs as a secretary or in customer service. She loves to travel and Rich comes along. They have been to many parts of the world. Their next big trip will be to the Galapagos Islands in Nov. 2010.

They are looking forward to seeing everyone in June.
