Janet Hornback Steiger (Salanis, CA) best accomplishment is having raised three wonderful sons with her husband Bob ‘59. Their family is a bit scattered now. Oldest son Bob lives in Texas with his wife and three children. Their second son Rick is a prosecuting attorney who lives in Michigan with his two children. Their youngest son Ron still lives in California with his wife and two children. This should explain why they travel quite often to keep in touch with all of their family. “Our oldest granddaughter volunteers with me at the Monterey SPCA Wildlife Centers. She apparently does have my blood in her veins because she really does love this. I do draw the line at snakes though and leave them to Amber.

Janet is a retired antique dealer. At one point she had two antique shops and really enjoyed the antique business.

The hobbies Janet enjoys most now are gardening, floral design and of course working with the animals.” Our house is filled with love not only for our family but for all the various pets we have had over the years. We have had a peacock, two parrots, ducks, turtles and more cats than you can count in a lifetime. We also had various dogs including our beloved dachshund Duchess who runs the family.” Janet and Bob enjoy hearing from and about their friends back home.
