Terrence Kopf (Sagamore Hills, OH) Upon
graduation he attended Kent
State University
and worked in the restaurant industry. Terry bought the Shell station in
Brecksville. He and his brother ran it for several years. Also during this time
Terry married wife Carol Girard ’61. They raised their family in North Royalton. They have
two children, Melissa and Michael.
Terry was hired by the Cuyahoga County Engineers
where he remained for the rest of his working days.
Terry and Carol built a house in Greenwood Village
in Sagamore Hills and live there still. Terry retired last year and he is
adjusting to this new stage in his life. Fortunately, both their children live
close by. “Michael, our ‘boomerang child’, lives with us and Melissa, her
husband and our two beautiful granddaughters live in the village right around
the corner. I get to have coffee in the morning with my daughter before she
leaves for work. My son and I work on the house, settling world issues, as we
spend time together.
Since we live just over the bridge from Brecksville,
I still feel like we are part of the town. We do our shopping there, frequent
the restaurants and of course, stop at Starbucks often. As our granddaughters
would say, ‘Life is Sweet’”.
