Robert Krasen (Columbus, OH) So many years, so little time. So many friends, relationships and events to remember. So much for which to be grateful.

Chapter 1: Skyline Drive…Assumption Church...Cleveland Press carrier, (snow, ugh!)…Wallings Road School, Mr. Vance, 5th grade…Sleepy Hollow caddie…Brecksville Junior High, Mr. Becker, mechanical drawing…St. Stanislaus High School, (football, ugh!)…Borromeo High School, (Latin & Greek, ugh!…Borromeo College, B.A., History…St. Mary Seminary, M.Div.; and ordained for the Diocese of Cleveland…St. Martha Parish, Akron…Holy Rosary Parish, Cleveland…St. Peter Parish, Lorain…Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Litchfield.

Chapter 2: “In 1985, I left the ministry in the Catholic Church to marry Rita Kevelder with whom I worked at Our Lady Help of Christians. We settled in Columbus, Rita’s home town. In 1986 we were blessed with our first son Christopher; in 1988 we were blessed again with another son Daniel. Rita and I were constantly praised for being such good ‘grandparents’. I worked in human service roles for United Cerebral Palsy, American Red Cross Blood Services, Vencare Hospice, and Vision Center of Central Ohio. Rita and I enjoyed our sons’ experiences in school, athletics, and on vacations. Life has sure been good, starting in Broadview Heights and Brecksville!”

Now retired, Bob reflects on the inspiration he received from people who have been broken in many different ways, and responded to their disabilities with resilience to become strength for others.
