Frank Lid (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) Well, its been a long time and a long road. After working his way through several colleges, Frank graduated from Cleveland State with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1967.

He stretched one course in computer programming into a 38 year career in factory automation and related programming, system development, management, and consulting positions. He started his career working for Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn, MI, and spend some time in Rochester, NY, before coming back to Northeastern Ohio (Parma, North Olmsted, Chagrin Falls, Bainbridge and Euclid) while working around town and around the countryside.

Also in ’67, he married his college sweetheart, Chris Bailey of Willoughby, Ohio. Chris and Frank were together for 33 years, until her death in 2000. They spent the best of those years in a community called Lake Lucerne in Bainbridge, outside Chagrin Falls, where they raised their two daughters, Chrysti and Beth. Chrysti now lives in Burton with husband Jon.  Beth is single and lives and works in Chagrin Falls.

Frank remarried in 2005 and moved to Lakeland, Florida, only to be divorced a year later. Frank guesses he had found the only woman in the whole world who couldn’t put up with him! He moved to a little town near Charlotte, NC in 2007, then retired and returned to Ohio in 2008 to be with a wonderful partner, Myrna McDougal. Myrna is a retired oncology clinical nurse specialist having worked at Akron General Medical Center for 41 years. They live in Cuyahoga Falls.

Besides computer programming, he developed a love of singing, having sung in several church choirs, Barbershop, men’s choruses, and community groups over the last 30 years. He also dabbles in writing poetry, drawing and painting.

Frank really enjoyed the years spent at BHS and is looking forward to seeing the old gang again at the class fiftieth reunion.
